Description
This position is responsible for generating relevant blogs, writing in a variety of voices, and understanding SEO optimization. Writers will also source images as well as link to other sources and do research as needed. Compensation: Minimum starting salary of 30,000.
Duties
Create content for blog posts based on regular conversations with the editors and research.
Communicate regularly with editors about upcoming content.
Establish SEO tools, build off of keyword lists to produce solid keyword targets aligned with SEO and business goals.
Manage content flow and support contributors.
Provide coverage for daily breaking/trending news, write original content to attract new readers, expand footprint and improve searchability of site.
Create daily, weekly and monthly round-ups from most popular news and/or most popular blog posts, upcoming events, etc.
Solicit content submissions from independent industry influencers.
Increase online presences across social bookmarking sites like Digg, StumbleUpon, and Reddit when appropriate given the content.
Review and edit content prepared by fellow bloggers to ensure that proper grammar, spelling and structure is being used.
Ensure that fellow bloggers are blogging in sync with the theme.
