A Junior PR Manager is responsible for communicating the Apress brand by using all forms of media and communication. The public relations function works closely with editorial to develop strategies, publicize key initiatives and support the community by actively participating with user groups, authors, bloggers, journalists, and industry leaders.Specific responsibilities include: Research new outlets and maintain existing relationships with the media to generate reviews and exposure for Apress products Oversee all aspects of publicity campaigns for new company initiatives including product launches, new partnerships, and all other news worthy events Develop PR campaigns on a product level Communicate directly with editorial and authors, seeking out potential leads for product reviews Attend tradeshows and conferences, planning targeted PR campaigns Actively seek out reviews for all Apress products Expand community outreach through social media and by working closely with user groups and tech clusters sponsoring events Responsible for internal communication, press clippings, and community news Work with corporations on co-branding and partnership announcements in newsletters and on the PR wire Manage technology, title, and cluster specific newsletters Media pitching and author guest post curation as well as involvement with exhibits Design marketing campaigns and assist with marketing strategies as well as author support
