Details: Content driven company is looking for an experienced Web Developer in their Boca Raton location. This person will be highly skilled in the entire LAMP stack, who is well-rounded in both front-end and back-end development to help build out next-generation features for the company's platform, plus guide their development teams both in- and out-of-house. They are a dynamic, fast-paced, entrepreneurial and growing team interacting with major media and bloggers. Required Skills and Experience: • Passionate about programming, team player, willing to learn new approaches to solve common programming problems. • Play the lead developer/architect role in software development projects and activities. • 5+ years of programming experience, 3+ in PHP 5.x • GIT Source control experience • Symfony 2 Framework experience would be a plus • Good understanding of how ORMs works specifically Doctrine 2.x • Very good understanding of PHP Object Oriented Programming and design patterns. • Good understanding of MySQL best practices (indexes, query analysis, collations). • Good understanding of how HTTP works (Requests, Headers, Status Codes). • Basic Unix command line interface skills. • Experience with data migrations, data ingestion, and syndication of data. (XML, JSON, etc.) • Hands-on development using JavaScript, JQuery, JSON, AJAX, DOM, HTML5, CSS3. • Experience using TWIG template engine. • Passion for clean, usable pages and interfaces built on semantic, reusable code. Recommended but not necessary Experience: • Agile Software Development • Web Services • PHPUnit/Behat • Continuous integration with Jenkins/Hudson • PHP Documentator Bonus Experience • Mobile development (HTML5/iOS/Android) • Test Driven Development • Full Text Search implementations, Elastic Search is a ++ • Ability to support Display Ads • Experience with Responsive Design Personal Attributes: • Must be a self-starter with a “can-do” and positive attitude. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
