Details: Overview:Bloomingdale's Manager of Media Relations will assist in developing and managing the publicity and communications on behalf of the retail brand.Key Accountabilities:- Assists in the development and execution of communication and public relations initiatives- raft press releases and develop/pitch key story angles for all Bloomingdale's brand and trend stories- Liaise with key media contacts (broadcast producers, fashion editors, online outlets, bloggers, and fashion correspondents) to secure key media placements for Bloomingdale's merchandise, events, partnerships, and services- Partner with cross-functional departments (Fashion, Marketing, Creative Service, Visual and Corporate) to develop PR plans in support of new designer/product launches, technology enhancements, new store openings, marketing campaigns, seasonal trends etc.- Oversee merchandise loan process- Facilitate interviews for senior management- Accompany and oversee in-store press at 59th Street and Soho stores.- Maintains an in-depth knowledge of current trends, celebrity, entertainment, and fashion news, high-profile media events, social media applications and platforms, etc.; recommends strategic focus to OVP of PR- Liaise with Marketing team to manage social media content- Manage branch store PR requests and distribution of press material for regional coverage.Skills Required:- 5-7 years of PR and press experience- Proven media contacts in print, broadcast, and on-line, ranging from fashion, lifestyle, and design.- Expert writing and communications skills.- Working knowledge of Social Media.- Strong creative ability to help develop innovative ideas for Bloomingdale's brand.- Ability to strive in a fast-paced environment- 4 year college degree- Evening hours and some travel required to represent company.Bloomingdale's is an Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to a diverse and inclusive work environment.
